myDSL Extensions (deprecated) :: How to Configure Samba

I can't figure out how you're supposed to configure samba. The smb.conf file is write protected and I either am not doing it right or it can't be changed as root superuser. COuld someone please help me? I also have no idea how to start it even if I get it configed.

Have you tried (from the pop-up menu) the smbclient app???

at least you will be able to copy files (Attencion: the app is in text - mode)

I'm sorr I forgot about this post. I got samba to work after searching the forum for what seemed like forever. THanks for your help.
