I don't know of a TV Card app in the repository at the moment.
Someone should look into the xawtv app, you can get it from Debian.

and the gtk2.dsl is WAY OVERKILL for adding in the 1 library..

Damn....apt-get works but small problem..some Xvideo extension is not in DSL so xavtv doesn't display picture

Try installing the XFree86.dsl myDSL extension.

It probably contains the Xvideo extension that you are looking for.
