Apps :: Help with installing ImageMagick

I have been searching for others who have this problem, but I can't find any documentation.  I am running a Pentium 233Mhz with 128Megs of RAM.  No HD, with a flash memory stick.  I boot DSL from a CD and the OS seems to work fine.  No internet connection.  I downloaded imagemagick.tar.tar to the flash memory stick.  Using emelfm, I find the imagemagick.tar.tar and highlight it and click on the myDSL button.  emelfm displays ----end-of-output---- and that's it.  I can't find any icons, program files or anything that has changed on the flash drive.

I have also tried this with imposter-0.3.tar.tar and 7matrix-theme.tar.tar

Where did you get the "imagemagick.tar.tar" file?
If you got it from imagemagick.org it won't install through myDSL.
If you got it from the myDSL repository there may be a problem with your system, since there has been a desktop icon and menu item included in the DSL package for at least the last couple of versions.  Also, the filename *.tar.tar won't install with myDSL even if it is a myDSL extension.  If this is the actual filename, whatever tool you used to download it may have changed the filename.
Try using the command "/opt/imagemagick/bin/display" to see if it was installed.
