I installed the GAIM .dsl. Looked good. Program ran and everything. However, when I closed the program and reopened it, I had to reload all of my info. This happens every time I close GAIM. Kinda sucks when you have 4 different account to load. So, I tried running the .dsl again and it gave me an error about /var/tmp/mydsl.icon not being there. So I created the directory and it gave me another error. This time it was rm something and gave me a permission denied. So, I reinstalled 1.2 and still got the same error. I went back to DSL 1.1 and GAIM works fine. Is anyone else having these problems or is it just me?
Thanks again, JesseYep, still the same problem. Its on a 1.2 HD install. When I run the gaim-1.0.0.dsl from emelfm, I get the following message
Code Sample
mount: secial device /var/tmp/mydsl.icons does not exist umount: /home/dsl.xtdesktop: not mounted ls: var/tmp/mydsl.icons: No such file or directory rm: cannot remove `/var/tmp/mydsl.menu/gaim-1.0.0': Permission denied
Anyone have any ideas or have seen this problem? I've tried both versions of gaim. The newer version doesn't even show up with AOL, Yahoo, MSN accounts so I can't use it. Besides, it still loses what account info I put in.
I've went back to DSL 1.1 and it works fun on there. I never install .dsl's in root or sudo so that is not a problem. This is from a baby fresh HD install.
Hope you guys can help. Thanks Jesse
