how do i get firefox to open on startup insteadof dillo...

please help me....
Quote
if you want it to start automaticlly add either one of these (not sure the executable name)
firefox &
or
mozilla-firefox &
to your /home/[username i.e. dsl]/.xinitrc file just before the line for fluxbox (or enlightenment
)
there we go, no probs now, it was
firefox &
but i wasnt putting it before the fluxbox command ....!!!
.xinitrc is the right way to go.
Just replace the "dillo -f" with "/usr/local/bin/firefox/firefox" and save the file.
Now the important part is that you need to backup your changed file and then restore it upon bootup (unless you are running from a full hd install).
Read the documentation on the backup/restore process, or search the forums for keyword
filetool.lst
and search ALL FORUMS and FROM THE BEGINNING or NEWER
original
