Can i instal and eggdrop on dsl 0.8.0 ?

you might try upgrading, you can use an eggdrop if you have all of the libraries linked and copy the binaries over properly from another linux machine.

there are also several places to get precompiled eggdrop binaries, in that case you may just need to install tcl/tk packages or libraries from the certain version. you can only find out by attempting it.

works good for eggdrop. least on my hd install
get apt-get enabled and type apt-get install eggdrop
it will install tcl also.
mkdir a folder in your home and gunzip eggdrop.simple.conf.gz to there
simple.conf will be in usr/share/eggdrop
edit the conf..when done type eggdrop filename.conf to run it
dont forget the -m
