Apps :: abiword/pathitic writer
Hi!
How can you save to floppy in DSL for individual documents that you might make in abiword or bluefosh or what
ever?
Simple but I really dont know! thanks again!
Yes.
Insert the floppy into the drive.
Use the Mount.app in the lower right corner of the desktop. Make sure that the floppy (fd0) status is green.
Then save your file to:
/mnt/auto/floppy
Good Luck.
Hi
thanks for the the tip but in pathetic writer it says 'cannot save' and in abiwod it says "mnt/auto/floppy is write protected"
do i have to log in as root? if so how do i do that?
Thanks for your time it is greatly appriciate!
excuse spelling!
I am assuming that your floppy disk is not full and the write-protect tab is not enabled on the disk itself.
You can run pathetic writer as user root by opening up an xterminal window and type:
sudo pw
Hopefully then you can save the files.
