Apps :: Qcad.dsl display size -too big Help!

My old digital hinote notebook 12.5 inch TFT display has
been absolutely fine for 9 months set at fb8600x600 at
boot and HD installed at the same setting with the
exception of 3 DSL apps. which have been too big for the screen:- the recent opera .dsl, an earlier version of ABS
spreadsheet when it first came out in DSL and now Qcad. Opera I am not bothered with and ABS was rectified by
advice to add a parameter of '-geometry 640x480'
somewhere.  When I made a desktop icon for ABS I had tomake a home/.xtdesktop/abs.ink file with the command line ending in the same '-geometry 640x480' to make it open
sized correctly.
Now Qcad.dsl, which I would really like to use on this
machine, is also about 8mm too big to each margin but
remains that way when I edit the automatic qcad.ink file in .xtdesktop same as for ABS ie.:
command: /opt/start_qcad -geometry 640x480
I have also tried adding the line inside the start_qcad file itself.  No good - display is still too big.  Any ideas?
(This programme opens up correctly without tinkering on
my PC box/monitor)

Anyone?
Any help would be much appreciated

If you're running it within Fluxbox you should be able to resize by holding Alt while dragging with the right mouse button.

I don't know qcad, so I can't say what its command options are.
Try typing "qcad -h" or "qcad --help" to get a list of options...perhaps it's not "-geometry" but maybe "-geom" or just "g", or maybe it's "--geometry" with two dashes...or maybe you can't set the geometry as an option.  If this doesn't help, consult the man page for qcad...it should give you all command options, as well as telling you what config file(s) it uses, if any.

Many thanks Mikshaw - sounds promising I'll give them a go.
Mikshaw, your first suggestion using the alt button and dragging the edges did the trick. Once I could bring the top left square 'fit to screen' button into view and click it, the display was corrected to the TFT perimeter, and at the right scale too ie. menus and tool bars are not oversized.  It stays this way after reboot - thanks again.
