Apps :: Flash

I've downloaded flash a few times but it never shows up  anywhere and doesn't work.  After downloading it says add /opt/firefox_plugins to filetool.lst.  How do I do that after downloading flash?  Thanks
First things first..
1. Is there a file called libflashplayer.so in your /opt/.firefox_plugins folder ?

2. What browser are you using ?
Flash only runs in Firefox 0.8, Firefox 0.9.3, and Opera 6.1.2
No flash in Glinks or dillo..

3. You can edit the /home/dsl/filetool.lst anytime..
Add the line " opt/.firefox_plugins " (without quotes ) to the end
of the file.  All this file does it tell the backup WHAT to backup. Now, when you run your backup, you'll back up the
flash plugin as well, so you don't have to d/l it again.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, it's installed where is supposed to be.  My browser is Moz 1 that came in with synaptic.  I looked in plugins in the browser and flash isn't there so that's why it doesn't work.  I am using DSL 8.
Copy the file libflashplayer.so to your /opt/firefox/plugins directory.
Then restart firefox..

The firefox.uci and the firefox.tar.gz are designed to use the
special .firefox_plugins directory..
If you downloaded firefox from synaptic, that is the difference.
This should solve your issue..

I don't have firefox, Mozilla 1.0 is what synaptic had in it. I couldn't find a plugins directory in Mozilla.
