Apps :: Sylpheed not deleting from server

Sylpheed 0.9.3 DSL 0.6.1

I used Sylpheed for a week, thinking everything was OK. Turns out that I had almost 5mb of messages sitting on the server. I checked and, yes, I had set sylpheed to delete messages from the server! I selected "Delete after 0 days", thinking that ought to mean "delete as downloaded". Perhaps it really means, "don't delete?" I've changed it to "delete after 1 day" to see if that improves things.

If I'm on the right track, great. If not... HELP!

if you're running DSL from cd, it's gonna keep the messages on the server.

however, if you're running from hard drive.. go to configuration -> account preferences then click on the recieve tab and select "remove messages on server when recieved"

should help.. I use sylpheed claws.

That's how I had it set up. I selected 0 days. I still have it selected, but once I changed it to 1 day, it started deleting, obviously 1 day later. The 0 days option doesn't seem to be working for me. i.e.; not deleting as downloaded.
