When I boot DSL from the CD my monitor goes black , the monitor works fine with everything else Windows Whats going on? DSL workes great on my other computer. thanks

Try:

dsl vga=normal

from the DSL boot prompt

Hey! I have the very same problem! I've tried vga=normal, and all other vga modes and they don't work for me.
I just try to boot dsl and screen goes blank forever. No problem with windows or even with other distributions, but with dsl it goes blank.

Maybe it's an incompatibility with AMD, they told me. Is your processor AMD?
