Apps :: Hyperterminal for Linux?

Hi Guys,

I need a hyperterminal-like prog for DSL. Hell, it may have one and I am totally clueless (as usual). Just need to access equipment (tdm muxes) via the serial port.

Any suggestions?

Try

Apps -> Net -> Microcom

Or type "microcom" from inside an Xterminal windows.

didn't know one was built in (I assumed it had to be).

I synaptic installed minicom before your post. worked as well.
