Apps :: application install errors

when ever i try to install a new application. I talways come up with tis error meassage when i try and access the configure file. "error: newly created file is older than distributed files check your system clock!"

the time on my clock is exaclty what it should be, what is going on here?

ive tried it through shell etc.

dont worry about that problem no ive fixed it,

just wondering but what addons will i need to use most programs. whenever i try the configure file on any packages it always cant find a decent compiler.
