Apps :: Messenger application

I would like a linux app that enables me to communicate with my MSN messenger contacts. It should be a small size app since I have an old machine.

Yes, me too, but unfortunately there's nothing light enough. AMSN is the lightest, but that uses Tcl/Tk.
