nope, DSL has no firewall stock, but there's one in the mydsl repo and you can also apt-get others. DSL is debian based so yes firestarter will work.

Perhaps Bastille and it gui will fill less than Firestarter, whichis a fine small gui/wizard application. Bastille should be included in stead of Lynx.
