Other Help Topics :: usb doesn't work

when connecting my usb mouse to my computer i get the following error:

USB device not accepting new address=10 (error=-110)

connecting the mouse before booting the computer doesn't make any difference except that my ps/2 mouse doesn't work anymore.
when i try to connect a usb flash drive i get the same error, but if it's connected before booting i can mount it and use it.

any clue anyone?
