Is it possible to add an animated boot spash to a DSL?

I saw somewhere there is a "splash" cheatcode for knoppix to load a boot spash. Does anyone know if this workds for DSL, if so how can I make, and a cusom splash with a progress bar my DSL?

It is not available in DSL. You'd need to add it to a remaster of the KNOPPIX file to get it working, as far as I know.

This does not help, but... I like that dsl actually shows me what is going on.. on the way to the desktop
