I (almost) have the same problem..  I don't buy CD:s anymore, because DVD:s are a LOT cheaper than CD:s here.. (crazy tax)

cheap bad quality CD costs ~70c
good quality DVD costs ~30c

Luckily I have CD-RW:s... to use with DSL etc..

And yes it it possible to install DSL without burning the CD just like Patrick wrote.
