Other Help Topics :: removing myDSL apps

ok time to help the new guy.  been playing around with DSL and am loving it. but have run into a little bit of an issue.  Newbies make mistakes.  so i have somehow managed to download the same app multiple times into the myDSL submenu.  how do i get the little buggers out of there?
What version of DSL are you using?  What type of system are you running (frugal, liveCD...)? This sounds like an issue that was resolved several months ago.
system is remnents of a e-machine 633 i-tower
633mhz-celeron
onboard intel graphics-82810
onboard sound-Realtek AC 97
15gig HD
linux 2.4.26 (running installed on HD and only OS installed)  i hate duel booting but wanted to break away from the Microsoft teet.  when my Grandmothers e-machine powersupply burst and she bought a new machine i got my chance

had to go look it up..should be DSL ver. 2.3
clicking system stats from thesystem menu will show the version, I have 2.2 but I have a hd install.I use fluxbox but the same applied to jwm..if you want to remove duplicate menu items go to emelfm and hit H to show hidden files in /home/dsl..
then go to fluxbox open and open menu..the txt doc is the menu..find the menu item in question..highlite and cut..then save the file..if you use jwm then I think it is the jwmrc. this menu can also be helpful if you need to find a path to an executable, to create a desktop shortcut or a drawer item.
I noticed that when I switch from flux to jwm on the dx2 that the jwm menu lists some programs twice..I think mahjong or backgammon..I deleted via this method.
