User Feedback :: dsl 6.0 problem

I've just burned DSL 6.0 but at start up it shows a message error:

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
then it goes to the slash.
what could it be the cause for this message?

now that happened in my desktop where dsl 4.20 worked just fine, I tried DSL 6.0 on my laptop and it works just fine.
is there some hardware incompatibility that I should check for?
