try:

in linux not everybody is allowed to do such dangerrous things
only root can.
sudo give you "administrator" rights for this command

Ah, my mistake. I thought you ran from the live cd as root.

Last time I tried to install dsl, it gave me weirdness.... When I tried to boot, I got a command prompt that didn't want to help me. This scared me badly.

This is written from the laptop using Win 98. I am happy to report that this laptop run MSN and Firefox on Win 98 without a flaw. I expect DSL to run aMSN and Firefox even better
