if you have an hd install, you can download the correct version of the firmware into the appropriate place, and it will (sort of) work.

Remember that the ipw2100 project is still beta, and that DSL have a very old version, so it's kinda wonky.

Honestly, its a lot easier to go pick up a cheap Netgear card, because it works better.

Is there anyway I can install the firmware myself via mydsl ?

dsl is 'almost' perfect.

Just got 8.3 working with a MS MN-510 wifi adapter with a HD install on an old P2, awesome. Guess i'll have to get 8.4 now.

Siag copy and paste...
This is a bug with Siag,  I've tried it on several distributions.    I've also compiled the very latest sources of Siag and its dependencies, and the bug is still there.  Ther X clipboard functionality *is* working though, so at least we have that..
