User Feedback :: General Error with dpkg

I have hd-installed DSL.
I worked pretty much time with 0.5.1 and was using many stuff from apt-get. Finally I got 1,2 Gb install what is pretty much. Everything was taken from "testing". No problems ,working good.
Then I changed my DSL to 0.6.2 .
Indeed it's faster and has many enhances.
But.
Dpkg is erroreus. It has "broken pipe" when unpacking come dev files (like libgtk2.0-dev etc.)
I tried to :
-get my *.deb from other sites
-changing the testing/stable/unstable in /etc/apt/sources...
The error with unpacking touches only the dev packets that have something to do with X's.
Here is the final report from apt-get :
Please- Help.
dpkg-errors
cd /var/cache/apt/archives <enter>
dpkg -i --force-overwrite *.deb
What are you doing? Installing the full version of X? You might want to drop out of X to the terminal and do this, if that's the case.
no t exactly.
i figured out that some packets don't want to be ,let's say, "deployed".
especially packets that have something to do with xlibs.
it tells me
"XXX.so.X ,which is also in packet xlibs, paste process failure (broken pipe)"
but why the hell there is a pipe broken?
if i try to deploy it manually it works...
weird.
I'll try what You said.
Big thanx ;]
