i have done what you say "dsl xsetup"
i saw you passed an undefined mode number press return
video adapter :vesa vga
mode col x rows
0, 1,2,3,4,5,6 or scan
i choose for example n° 2
the xvesa and xframebuffer appeared
i choosed 640x480 8 bit but the screen is now blue stripes green  like a zebre

my video card on prompt: magic graph 128 ZV 48 SVGA

i do what says Delboy  
on boot prompt simply fb800x600 nothing else............ when i typed "dsl fb800x600" it didn't work
